ABOUT
Have questions about RESONATE? Visit our FAQ page!
RESONATE is presented by the VPM + ICA Community Media Center, a recording studio and workspace located on the second floor of the Institute for Contemporary Art.
Whether you’re a student interested in podcasting, a media professional, or a community member with something to say, the Community Media Center is for you. Gain profitable production skills from experts, meet other creative storytellers, and get your voice out in the world.
The Community Media Center launched virtually in the fall of 2020 and opened for in-person recording and programming in November 2021. We believe the art of storytelling should be accessible to everyone, so we can share more stories that matter.
VENUE
The Institute for Contemporary Art at Virginia Commonwealth University presents the art of our time and provides an open forum for dialogue and collaboration across the region and throughout the world. Admission is free and open to all.
Opened on April 21, 2018, the ICA is a non-collecting institution that showcases an ever-changing slate of exhibitions, performances, films, and special programs that translate our world into every medium.
Between sessions, RESONATE attendees are invited to explore our three exhibitions: dana washington-queen’s Resume at the Point of Interruption, Naima Green’s I Keep Missing My Water, and Rafael Domenech’s The Medium is the Massage.
