Thanks to your enthusiastic participation, the first ever RESONATE Podcast Festival was a smashing success!!! A big thank you also to our partners, VPM, The Association for Independents in Radio, Common House, and Focusrite. The performances by Sharon Mashihi and Love + Radio were intense! The presentations were wildly informative! The art was ... artistic! And we could not imagine sharing resources and snacks with a better crowd. Thank you.

Are you a student curious about podcasting? A producer looking to pick up additional skills? An avid listener who wants a look behind the scenes? Join us at RESONATE Podcast Festival in Richmond, Virginia: two days of workshops, performances, and exhibitions open to all.

Celebrating the art of podcasting.

For beginners. For pros. For the podcast curious.

Podcast producers lead learning sessions on all aspects of production—from scoring, to long-form narrative, to marketing and promotion.

Special guests Sharon Mashihi of Appearances and Nick van der Kolk of Love + Radio perform in the ICA’s auditorium each evening.

Following a national callout this summer, a panel of experts will select three finalists to work with our sponsor VPM on developing their pitch into a podcast.

Discover newly commissioned audio works at the unveiling of our podcast art installation. Eavesdrop on previously unreleased anonymous confessions from Secrets Hotline, a Love + Radio spinoff, playing on loop at our individual listening stations.

RESONATE attendees can sign up for AIR Tune Ups, one-on-one sessions with audio professionals from AIR for editorial guidance or engineering troubleshooting.

RESONATE is happening at Richmond’s Institute for Contemporary Art. Between sessions, explore three floors of art galleries. On your way to the evening performances, take a stroll through nearby Monroe Park. All weekend, enjoy complimentary access to Common House Social Club, just a few blocks away. (Must be 21+ to visit Common House.)
